Denver, CO, October 28, 2013 – BolderLife Festival moves to a new venue in Denver and expects the largest turnout

In it’s third year running, the international  BolderLife Festival is happy to announce that the festival has moved from Boulder to a new venue in Denver.  BolderLife Festival is a film, theatre, music, art, education and dance event that provides a platform for extraordinary people to share life stories, purpose, and innovation through the arts and education. The festival topics and setting empower our community to question paradigms and explore new ways of thinking, communicating and living.  BolderLife expects the largest turnout this year due to high demand for the student program and the fact that they hold strong in the support for Indie Colorado Films. The Festival will be held at the SIE Center, 2510 Colfax Ave, Denver, CO this December 5th – 8th.

What to expect for the 2013 Festival

The audience and guests can expect an inspiring 7 day event, 4 days of which are reserved for the student program. BolderLife will offer 30 international, thought provoking and message based films (e.g. from the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Belgium, Australia)  15 educational offerings, 6 original, short plays (international writers, local directors and actors), live music, and dance performances from a handful of local artists. Local artists’ work will be showcased in the lobby and theatre.

The Films: BolderLife had a staggering 160+ incredible and inspiring films under consideration for this year’s festival. It has been difficult to narrow it down to 30 local and international, thought provoking and message-based films. Currently the program is in the finalizing process, and the 2013 Final Festival Schedule will be posted the first week of November.

The Plays: The theater participants are in the process of rehearsing for the Theater Program. BolderLife also found a perfect venue for the plays: the Crossroads Theater, 2590 Washington St, Denver, CO.

A Recap of the BolderLife Festival 2012

The 2012 Festival started September, 19th with the Audience Choice award-winning film “Town of Runners,” and ran through Sunday, 23rd at the Nomad Theatre in North Boulder. Filmmakers from around the country were in attendance as well as talented Featured Presenters. The 2012 program featured 46 International Films, 9 Original Plays, 13 Educational Programs. This year also marked the beginning of the BolderLife Student Outreach Program. The platform was a selection of films and speakers handpicked from the main festival program, and the audience was Denver Academy youth. One-hundred and fifty students watched films and participated in open panel discussions. The level of participation, active involvement and enthusiasm from the students was staggering and inspiring. Many students, teachers and parents inquired about dates and program information for the 2013 event. In response to the overwhelming enthusiasm, BolderLife decided to expand the student portion of the festival to attract more school and student involvement.
