Welcome to BolderLife

Erin headshotReaching a place of peace and excitement when thinking about future years of BolderLife hasn’t been an easy journey.

I spent much of the spring and early summer contemplating the future of BolderLife, speaking with other business owners, entrepreneurs, and people who know me well and have seen me pour my blood, sweat, and tears into this endeavour for the last three years. I have been searching for the “right” answer, the “How To” manual for making a success out of your dream mission. Although I haven’t yet landed on the exact recipe, I have discovered this: When you open your heart to believing in your vision of how the world and your life can be, the world opens up to you in return and amazing things occur.

When Chris Schenk, the new Communications Manager for the Festival, and I sat down to discuss what BolderLife is really about, why I’m here, and why I chose to use the platform of a festival in the first place, I couldn’t clearly define or articulate the answers to many of his questions. Not that the last two years have been undefined. Rather, they have been filled with enthusiasm. I simply have a tendency to jump in headfirst before clearly knowing what I am jumping into. With some determination and digging, we landed on a Vision/Mission for the festival that embodied the depth of why I chose to start the festival in the first place. CLICK HERE to read the Vision that materialized  when I allowed the time and space for it.

erinFrom a place of knowing why, it has been easy to make the decisions of moving the festival to Denver, expanding our staff, expanding our Student Program, and tightening up the rest of the program.

Our move to Denver is broadening and deepening our audience, expanding our network of community organization involvement, supporting our rapidly growing Student Program, and putting us in an amazing venue, check out the SIE Film Center for more info. Expanding the BolderLife team has opened the door to a talented and creative group of individuals who are nicely filling out and complementing our already established core group. I feel humbled and blessed to be working with such an amazing team. Please visit our Staff Page to meet them.

With two strong years under our belts, a new clearly defined Vision and Mission,

and an incredibly tight and capable group working towards success,

I firmly believe that this year will be our best yet.

Save the Date!

The 2013 Festival will be held in Denver, Colorado  December 2nd-8th at the  SIE Film Center – 2510 E. Colfax Avenue Denver, CO 80206
